How to know your thyroid health is thriving

We talk a lot about the symptoms related to poor thyroid function, but what would it actually feel like if your thyroid health was thriving?

It’s easy to look simply at numbers on a scale, but it truly is the non-scale victories that show how your thyroid is functioning.  Some signs your thyroid health is finally starting to improve are:

  1. Stable energy levels: If your thyroid is functioning well, you should experience consistent energy levels throughout the day. You won't feel sluggish or fatigued throughout the day.

  2. Healthy metabolism: A well-functioning thyroid helps maintain a balanced metabolism. If your weight remains stable without significant fluctuations and your digestion is regular, it can be a positive sign of thyroid health.

  3. Normal body temperature: The thyroid gland helps regulate body temperature. When your thyroid is healthy, you won't experience frequent bouts of feeling excessively cold or hot. Your body temperature should remain within a normal range.

  4. Mental well-being: A thriving thyroid contributes to good mental health. You should have a stable mood, clear thinking, and minimal symptoms of anxiety or depression.

  5. Regular menstrual cycles: For women, thyroid health can affect the regularity of menstrual cycles. A well-functioning thyroid gland promotes regular ovulation and consistent menstrual periods.

  6. Normal heart rate: Thyroid hormones help regulate heart rate. When your thyroid is functioning properly, your heart rate should be within a normal range and not too fast or too slow.

  7. Sleep Quality: Thyroid imbalances have been linked to sleep disturbances.  A well functioning thyroid promotes better overall sleep quality and quantity.

I am living proof that all of this is possible.  You have the ability to thrive in this beautiful life and I would love to help you get there.

Hi, I am Angela Brown. I wasn’t always as health-conscious as I am today. I’ve always had an interest in sports and working out, but living a healthy lifestyle was a battle for me. I didn’t eat the best and burned the candle at both ends. I became interested in the healthcare field in high school when I took my first anatomy class. It was then that I knew I wanted to pursue a career related to the body and how it functioned. After I graduated high school, I earned a degree in Physical Therapy. I worked in outpatient orthopedic and sports clinics for 8 years but at that point, I knew I wanted something more. I became certified in personal training and then went on to get certified in health coaching. My passion for nutrition and lifestyle change began to grow even more when I was struggling with my own health issues. I became certified in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition to get more answers for myself and to help my clients even gain control of their health. I have set out on a mission to help with women overcome hypothyroidism so they can lose weight and get their sexy back.
