Thyroid symptoms in women can be so overwhelming and challenging to handle. Weight gain is the most common symptom that I hear with or without a hypothyroidism diagnosis. The thyroid hormones can cause so many effects on the body so ignoring those symptoms isn't the best thing to do when you suspect your thyroid is slow.
Also, it can be a challenge to understand the test results if you do receive them. The lab reference ranges are usually not very functional or optimal so you are left feeling that everything is normal when you still feel awful!
